"I think James did a great job on the photography; he achieved a nice, cinematic touch with this one. Add your own English subtitle line: I like 'Marianna, the secret is yours now.'"

"The first gig using my real name."

"This is me in happier times... well, actually about 85 minutes ago.
Niamh and I spend our life laughing our arses off, like a pair of school buddies."

"This gig was definitive in proving to me that live performance is the most unquantifiable, unpredictable thing. You might believe it was your worst ever - but everyone else, audience included, might think it was the best."

"When Colin has nailed a song, from then on, he is extremely consistent in getting it right. Here he is, somehow looking as reliable as you possibly can."

"This was taken just before our trip to NY. I recall that I had a real bastard of a flu that week, I couldn't eat, had a 24hr fever, but the excitement of going won out."

"Here I am, having a good old pose. There's a certain sort of non-human look being achieved, Mr. Anderson."

"This is us in Sosume, during a spell of frequent socialising. You can see that I clutch my whiskey to my heart, with great affection."

Pavilion, Jonathan with Tony McLaughlin & Bobby Kelly, in Hogan's, 2000.

"With a photographer directing us around Hogan's pub, the afternoon customers stared at us, trying to figure out whether we were worth staring at. We weren't.
Later that evening, Colin was guitar tech for Jack L in the Point. Backstage, I spotted my next door neighbour; what was he doing here? It turned out he was actually Jack L's guitar player, which is just about typical of what happens in Dublin."
